An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Head of Group Reporting to join a leading FTSE-listed multi-site retail brand. This high-profile leadership position manages a core group reporting function and drives regular reporting requirements across a multi-entity group structure.

Location: Bedfordshire (Hybrid: 2 days in office)
Reporting to: Finance Director
Key Purpose & Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead the Group Finance team, Accounts Payable (AP), and shared service function. You will serve as the principal contact for the monthly close process, external reporting, and group-wide technical accounting queries.
- Line-manage a direct team of four and indirect team of 10
- Complete ownership of the group-wide IFRS consolidation process.
- Lead monthly consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
- Direct ownership of the month-end general ledger (GL) close timeline.
- Manage and maintain the group chart of accounts.
- Drive continual improvement across ERP systems and reporting environments.
- Prepare primary financial statements for half-year and year-end reporting.
- Provide comprehensive balance sheet and cash flow analysis by entity.
- Ensure strict IFRS compliance across all statutory accounts.
- Produce group cash flow, balance sheet, net debt, and interest forecasts.
- Act as the primary relationship lead for external auditors and regulators.
- Assess the business impact of upcoming or new accounting standards.
- Maintain robust internal control frameworks across all operations.
Your background:
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant status (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant post-qualified experience.
Experience: Background within a large UK-listed group or large private multi-site corporate entity.
Technical Skills: Deep practical knowledge of IFRS and financial control remediation.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading complex reporting teams and driving financial process change.
