London market insurance experience with commercial finance, strategy, capital planning essential. JSS are partnered with a London market insurer where they are looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to join its growing finance leadership team. This role will work closely with senior finance leadership to deliver high-quality financial planning, forecasting and modelling across the group. You will play a key role in supporting executive decision-making through insightful analysis, robust scenario modelling and clear reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop financial models that shape forecasting, capital planning and board-level decisions
- Partner closely with senior finance leadership on planning, scenario analysis and strategic direction
- Deliver high-impact reporting and insights to executive leadership and board committees
- Act as a senior finance partner across the business, influencing decisions beyond finance
- Support capital, performance and growth initiatives within a regulated London Market environment
- Help modernise finance reporting, systems and data to improve insight and efficiency
Personal Profile
- Fully qualified accountant with extensive experience in London market specialty insurers or MGAs
- Advanced financial modelling skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-scenario models
- A background in capital planning, solvency or regulatory modelling within specialty insurance, Lloyd’s or reinsurance
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to adapt models as business strategy evolves
- The confidence to challenge, influence and support senior stakeholders on capital and financial decisions
