Overview
We are recruiting for an exciting EMEA Tax Accountant position within a large, international organisation operating across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified tax professional to join a dynamic finance team and gain exposure to a broad range of corporate tax, VAT, employment tax and tax reporting responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Reporting
- Prepare tax accounting and tax provisioning workpapers for statutory reporting.
- Support tax effect accounting processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist with internal audit reviews and tax-related reporting requirements.
- Partner with finance teams across EMEA on tax reporting matters.
- Corporation Tax
- Manage corporate tax compliance and tax payment obligations across EMEA entities.
- Prepare and review corporation tax returns or coordinate with external advisors.
- Support country-by-country reporting and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess business impacts.
- Indirect Tax (VAT)
- Manage VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure VAT and TOMS calculations are completed accurately and filed on time.
- Provide advice on VAT implications of commercial transactions.
- Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements.
- Employment Taxes
- Support employment tax compliance and benefits reporting requirements.
- Assist with UK PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSA) and other employer tax obligations.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks across EMEA operations.
- Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) requirements within the UK.
- Assist with tax authority enquiries, audits and investigations.
- Provide practical tax advice to finance and operational teams.
- Contribute to tax policy development and process improvement initiatives.
- ACA and/or CTA qualified.
- 0–3 years\' post-qualified experience within industry or a reputable professional services firm.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
