JSS Search is partnering with a highly regarded international investment platform on the appointment of a Senior Manager, Accounting within a newly transformed Group Finance function. This is a technically strong external reporting and accounting leadership role, operating across a complex multi-entity, international investment platform spanning private equity, venture/growth and listed investment structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • External Financial Reporting
    • Own the preparation and review of IFRS financial statements across complex consolidated structures
    • Lead quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting outputs
    • Support the preparation of board and investor-facing financial commentary and reporting materials
    • Maintain and develop accounting policies, assessing the impact of new IFRS standards and technical developments
    • Prepare technical accounting papers and position memos relating to new transactions, investments and structures
  • Audit Management
    • Act as the key finance contact for external auditors, managing audit timetables, deliverables and queries
    • Prepare and review audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation to a high technical standard
    • Support senior leadership in Audit Committee preparation and reporting activities
    • Coordinate closely with wider finance and compliance teams throughout the audit process
  • Corporate Accounting & Group Oversight
    • Provide technical accounting oversight across multiple entities and jurisdictions
    • Review financial statements and accounting outputs prepared across the wider finance team
    • Support tax and regulatory coordination alongside external advisers
    • Assist with the preparation of entity-level board materials and consolidated reporting outputs
  • Consolidation & Group Reporting
    • Own and maintain the Group consolidation model, including intercompany eliminations and equity accounting
    • Ensure consistency between entity-level reporting and consolidated financial statements
    • Support investor relations and wider business stakeholders with financial data requests and analysis
  • Valuation Support
    • Support preparation of holding-level valuation analysis and reporting
    • Review valuation inputs for consistency with accounting records and fair value requirements
    • Provide accounting oversight across valuation methodologies used within financial reporting
  • Process Improvement & Systems
    • Drive improvements across month-end and year-end close processes
    • Support automation, AI and finance transformation initiatives across the accounting function
    • Ensure finance systems remain robust, accurate and audit-ready

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 6–10 years’ post-qualified accounting experience within external reporting, audit or group accounting environments
  • Strong IFRS financial reporting experience within listed, investment management or complex multi-entity businesses
  • Background within private equity, asset management, listed financial services or investment fund environments advantageous
  • Experience managing audits and engaging directly with senior stakeholders and external auditors
  • Exposure to international or multi-jurisdictional structures preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong IFRS technical accounting knowledge, particularly around consolidations, fair value and financial instruments
  • Advanced group reporting and consolidation capability
  • Excellent financial statement preparation skills
  • Experience with modern accounting systems and automation tools beneficial
  • Exposure to AI-enabled finance tools and process enhancement advantageous

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • ACA / ACCA qualified preferred
  • Big 4 training background advantageous
  • Additional qualifications such as CFA beneficial but not essential
