Hybrid working set up (3 days in 2 from home)

A growing UK bank/fintech is hiring a Risk Partner to act as the first-line risk and control lead across its lending functions (origination, relationship management, and commercial/business finance). This is a hands-on, influence-heavy role for someone who can sit alongside business teams, challenge constructively, and successfully embed and optimise risk frameworks.

What you'll do:

  • Embed control and monitoring methodology and shape control assurance priorities
  • Drive proactive risk management: annual Risk & Control Self-Assessment, framework and policy embedding, horizon scanning for emerging lending risks
  • Own incident and issue management end-to-end—logging, tracking action plans to completion, and reporting
  • Manage 2nd/3rd line review engagements: scoping, supporting reviews, agreeing findings, and testing the effectiveness of resulting actions
  • Support senior accountable executives on quarterly attestations and risk reporting

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years in risk management, ideally within UK banking
  • Strong grasp of risk methodology, frameworks, and principles
  • Working knowledge of FCA & PRA regulatory expectations
