What you'll be doing:
- Executing the Group's financial controls programme across the close cycle, payment authorisation, reconciliation and journal approval.
- Owning and maintaining the Risk and Controls Matrix, mapped to the COSO framework.
- Leading the annual SOX-equivalent cycle for the listed entity, including scoping, testing, and CEO/CFO certification support.
- Acting as the Finance team's primary point of contact for internal and external audit.
- Identifying and driving practical improvements to the control environment, including the controls implications of new systems and AI-enabled finance tools.
What we're looking for:
- 4–7 years' experience in internal controls, SOX, internal audit.
- Big 4 or mid-tier trained, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIA qualified.
- Hands-on experience executing and documenting financial controls, ideally for a listed entity.
- Working knowledge of SOX equivalent controls and frameworks in a listed environment either from audit clients or practical experience.
- Exposure to investment management or PE structures is a plus but not essential.
