We are partnering with a growing insurance business in London looking to hire a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, gaining broad exposure across management accounting, reporting, business partnering, and month-end processes. The role will suit someone currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA and looking to further their experience within the insurance or wider financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
- Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepayments, intercompany, and reclassifications
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare cash flow reporting and support treasury-related activities
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support external audit processes and provide required documentation
- Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements where required
- Analyse financial data and provide commentary on business performance
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects
- Support ad hoc finance projects and reporting requests from senior stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
- Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience within a management accounting or finance role
- Insurance or financial services experience preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
