JSS Search is partnering with a highly regarded early-stage venture capital platform to appoint a Head of Finance in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing and highly active investment firm focused on backing innovative technology businesses across sectors including AI, media, consumer technology and digital infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and take ownership of the finance function across both the funds and management company structures.
The OpportunityThis role offers broad exposure across:
- Fund finance and investor reporting
- Portfolio valuation analysis
- Management company accounting
- Treasury and liquidity management
- Fundraising support and LP engagement

Key ResponsibilitiesFund-Level Responsibilities:
- Quarterly investor and fund reporting
- Portfolio valuation analysis in line with IPEV guidelines
- Performance analysis including IRR, TVPI and DPI metrics
- Fund cashflow management including drawdowns and distributions
- Audit coordination and financial statement oversight
- LP reporting, investor queries and presentation support
- Portfolio KPI and financial performance monitoring
- Support fundraising, due diligence and data room processes
Management Company Responsibilities:
- Monthly and annual management accounts
- Budgeting and long-term financial planning
- Treasury, liquidity and FX management
- Cashflow oversight across multiple entities
- Expense management and payment controls
- Oversight of outsourced payroll and operational finance activities
Additional Exposure:
- FCA and regulatory reporting coordination
- Tax and compliance support
- Process improvement and finance systems development
- Market and regulatory monitoring within the VC landscape
JSS is keen to speak with candidates who possess:
- ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Experience within Venture Capital, Private Equity or alternative investments
- Strong technical accounting and analytical capability
