I'm partnering on a confidential search for a Group Head of Compliance to join a well-established, internationally-owned insurance group with a long-standing presence in the Lloyd's and London market. This is a senior, board-facing appointment reporting directly to the Group General Counsel & Compliance Director. The role holds SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) for the group's regulated UK entity (subject to regulatory approval) and leads the Group compliance framework across both UK (PRA, FCA, Lloyd's) and Australian (ASIC, AFCA) jurisdictions.
The remit covers:
- Owning the Group compliance framework, monitoring plan and regulatory engagement
- Acting as the primary regulatory contact across UK and Australian regimes
- Leading on Conduct Risk, Product Governance and the Group's relationship with Lloyd's Customer Oversight
- Oversight of SM&CR, financial crime, Solvency II compliance touchpoints and the Group's Sustainability Framework
- Supporting the DPO and leading the compliance team
You'll likely bring:
- Senior compliance leadership experience within the UK insurance industry, with genuine exposure to Lloyd's and the London market
- Strong working knowledge of PRA / FCA rulebooks and Lloyd's supervisory requirements
- Solvency II experience
- A track record of direct regulator engagement and providing independent challenge at board / ExCo level
- The gravitas to advise senior leadership pragmatically and commercially
