JSS Tax are hiring for a Group Tax Accountant for a leading aviation company. This is a permanent full-time role based from their London office, supporting 2 days per week remote working.
Compensation
The role comes with a salary of circa £70k-£75k plus bonus and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Global Tax team on tax effect accounting matters
- Management of EMEA corporate tax payment obligations
- Preparation of corporation tax returns for EMEA group and/or coordination of corporation tax return with tax advisor
- Assistance with reporting requirements (e.g. country by country reporting)
- Monitoring of tax changes impacting on transactions/strategies
- Identification of indirect tax issues or changes in legislation affecting EMEA group
- Identification and involvement in process & systems improvement initiatives
- Providing advice on the VAT implications of transactions
- Ensuring all VAT and Tour Operator Margin Scheme (TOMS) calculations are completed and that returns are filed in a timely manner
- Assistance with preparing any employer-related benefits in kind reporting requirements, such as the annual UK PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA)
- Develop solutions and implement changes as a result of new legislation
- Provide tax support to operational and finance leaders
- Assist in managing the relationship with HMRC and other EMEA tax authorities
- Ad hoc tax queries as they arise
