A leading global private markets platform is seeking an experienced FP&A Director to join its high-performing finance function during a significant period of growth and transformation. With a truly international footprint across EMEA, the Americas and Asia, the business manages a multi-billion-euro portfolio across private equity, credit, infrastructure and secondaries strategies. Backed by a sophisticated institutional investor base and operating within a newly listed environment, the firm is continuing to scale rapidly whilst investing heavily in finance transformation, data capability and commercial decision support.
This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly into Managing Director level stakeholders and partnering closely with senior leadership across the business. The position offers the opportunity to shape and modernise FP&A processes within a complex, fast-paced and globally matrixed environment.
The OpportunityThe successful candidate will lead core FP&A activity with a strong emphasis on cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning across a rapidly evolving international platform. Alongside delivering high-quality commercial insight, the role will play a key part in driving finance transformation initiatives, improving reporting capability, enhancing systems infrastructure and supporting the development of scalable processes suited to a listed, high-growth business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning processes across multiple business units and international regions.
- Deliver detailed cost analysis and expense management reporting, providing insight into key cost drivers, headcount trends and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Partner directly with MD-level stakeholders and senior leadership teams to support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial modelling and commercial analysis.
- Develop and enhance management reporting packs, KPIs and executive-level presentations for board and senior leadership audiences.
- Support the continued evolution of FP&A processes, governance and controls within a newly listed and rapidly scaling business.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives focused on automation, scalability, process optimisation and improving the quality and accessibility of financial data.
- Work closely with finance technology teams to enhance planning, forecasting and reporting capability across systems such as Tagetik, Oracle, Microsoft Power BI and Anaplan.
- Improve data visualisation, reporting automation and business intelligence capability across the wider finance function.
- Build strong relationships across finance, operations and investment teams globally.
- Lead and mentor members of the wider FP&A team whilst helping establish best-in-class planning and reporting processes.
- Proven experience operating within a senior FP&A leadership role in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis.
- Significant experience in cost-focused FP&A and operational expense analysis.
- Exposure to finance transformation, systems implementation or reporting enhancement projects.
- Experience working within listed, regulated or highly matrixed international businesses would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
