We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Reporting Product Lead to join a growing data department within a leading global specialty insurance group. This strategic role is designed for a high performer ready to establish a legacy by acting as the vital bridge between complex data infrastructure and actionable business insights.
You will lead data reporting initiatives and own the entire lifecycle of reporting solutions to ensure quality, robustness, and timely delivery across the organization, while enforcing rigorous Data Quality and Regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a data reporting consultant, proactively identifying opportunities across all business domains and recommending pragmatic tactical and strategic solutions.
- Lead the discovery phase by gathering business requirements and refining them into formal technical specifications.
- Build POC reporting mock-ups, MVPs, and dashboards independently to validate ideas with stakeholders before moving to production.
- Own the full delivery cycle, including quality assurance, UAT, deployment, end-user training, and BAU support models.
- Standardize and automate operational data reporting solutions to better support the business.
- Establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for BAU data reporting, including Lloyd’s regulatory reporting, external/internal Audit reporting, and Finance Close reporting.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and identify correlations among various data sources.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance Lead on cross-functional initiatives and log quality issues for remediation.
- Manage expectations and navigate diverse priorities across the organization, fostering collaboration between the central data hub and the wider business.
- Serve as a primary interface for technical teams, articulating requirements to Data Engineers and Analysts.
- Act as an advocate for data reporting practices and promote a strong 'Data Culture' within the organization.
- Lloyd’s Insurance Market Experience: Demonstrable experience working within the Lloyd’s market is strictly essential for this role.
- Product Management & BA: Proven experience in business analysis and product management is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data reporting tools (such as Power BI).
- Project Delivery: Experience with technical project delivery, including BI products, Data Migration, or Cloud Data Warehousing.
- Data Mastery: Experience working with large datasets, ETL/ELT concepts, and Big Data tools.
- Communication: Confident ability to present reports at the Board level and work with senior managers/SMEs.
- Analytical Thinking: High level of analytical skills and a passion for process automation and problem-solving.
- Education: A degree in Data, Computer Science, or Software Engineering is preferable.
