We are partnering with a PE-backed consultancy at a key stage of its growth and transformation, looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Consultant on an initial 6-month contract. This is a highly visible, business-critical role focused on commercial and operational analytics, working closely with senior leadership to drive data-led decision-making.
The Opportunity
You will operate at the intersection of commercial, operations, and data, helping the business better understand performance drivers, optimise revenue, and unlock value through insight. You’ll play a key role in turning complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable outputs that directly support C-suite strategy and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deep-dive commercial and operational analytics across revenue, pipeline, and performance drivers
- Build and enhance commercial forecasting models, including pipeline and sales-to-revenue profiling
- Work across multiple systems (CRM, financial, operational), sourcing and validating data to generate insight
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards for senior stakeholders and executive reporting
- Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights that inform strategy
- Support broader transformation initiatives, improving data quality, reporting, and analytics capability
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial and operational analytics within a complex business environment
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and executive-level decisions through insight
- Experience building commercial forecasting / pipeline models using both CRM and financial data
- Advanced Power BI capability (hands-on dashboard development essential)
- Comfortable working with imperfect, multi-system data environments
- Exposure to professional services / time-based billing models is highly desirable
