JSS are delighted to be partnering with our client who are based near Letchworth on the recruitment of a new Financial Controller role. We are looking for a Financial Controller to be responsible for all aspects of financial control and period end across multiple entities in a large fast-paced business. The Financial Controller will support the Finance Director in all aspects of financial control and reporting, with genuine scope to shape and improve processes in a growing business.

Finance Controller RoleThis Finance Controller role will be responsible for:
- Managing month end and period end in a large business including work in progress and revenue recognition.
- Ensuring strong control over key balance sheet areas (e.g. contract assets/liabilities, provisions, accruals and leases), including regular reconciliations, review processes, and risk identification.
- Leading internal control compliance programmes, including control testing, documentation, and remediation of deficiencies.
- Acting as the primary interface with external auditors and internal audit, managing audit processes, resolving technical accounting issues, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Providing expertise on complex accounting areas (e.g. revenue recognition, leases, impairments), maintaining group accounting policies and supporting business units on technical matters.
- Driving standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement of finance processes across projects and business units.
- Managing several staff.
- Responsible for the accounting for IFRS 16 - Leases.
- Ad hoc projects across the business.
- Some travel to several sites.
An experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller who is ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified. It is ideal to have worked in larger businesses, managing controls, period end, reporting and audit. Essential to have good balance sheet and controls experience ideally in a large organisation. Must be able to work in a fast growth, fast-paced environment.
On OfferSalary circa £90k plus £5k car allowance, bonus and hybrid working.
