We’re supporting a large UK insurance company on a key interim hire within its finance function, following a period of significant change and ongoing transformation. They are looking to appoint a senior investment finance specialist to support both BAU reporting and a major US GAAP-related change programme.

The opportunity: A high-profile role within a core finance team, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

You will:

  • Oversee investment-related financial reporting within a complex insurance environment
  • Provide input on technical accounting matters, with a focus on US GAAP
  • Support delivery of a finance transformation programme, including accounting framework alignment
  • Work closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
  • Enhance controls, processes and reporting output
  • Operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong senior visibility

Background:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience within an insurance environment
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting and technical accounting
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of US GAAP (essential)
