JSS are supporting a large consumer facing business based in Milton Keynes in the appointment of an Interim Head of Group Reporting for an initial 3-6 month period. The role will focus on the delivery of high quality Group reporting, maintaining strong controls and supporting ongoing accounting and reporting initiatives across a complex, operationally driven business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of Group consolidation, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles
  • Preparation and oversight of external reporting, including annual report and accounts
  • Acting as a key point of contact for auditors
  • Lead on technical accounting matters, including application of IFRS standards
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers and position assessments
  • Support on complex accounting areas (e.g. leases, revenue recognition, provisions)
  • Ensuring consistency of accounting treatment across the Group
  • Strengthening the Group financial control environment
  • Ensuring robust reporting processes and appropriate controls are in place
  • Supporting improvements to governance and reporting frameworks
  • Driving best practice across Group Finance

Your profile:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (Big 4 background strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience in a Group Reporting/Head of Reporting role
  • Strong technical accounting expertise
  • Track record of managing audits and external reporting processes
  • Able to operate at pace and deliver to tight deadlines

Package:

  • £550 - 600 per day inside IR35
  • Hybrid working
  • 3-6 month contract
