Group VAT Accountant

JSS are hiring for a Group VAT Accountant for a multinational listed company based in Hertfordshire near Welwyn (supporting up to 3 day per week remote working)

This is a permanent role paying circa £50,000-£70,000 plus bonus and benefits package.

Working as part of a high calibre in-house tax function, the Group VAT Accountant will take on an indirect tax role that is a mix of advisory and compliance, covering the group's operations in the UK and internationally.

This person will get involved in regular project work, will engage in indirect tax risk management, and will act in a commercially-minded business partner role - acting as a key conduit between the tax team and a variety of finance and non-finance stakeholders globally.

In addition this person will also get the chance to develop some experience in direct tax issues, and will support on systems and process improvement work.

The company are looking for someone with solid UK VAT experience, gained either in practice or in industry. Experience in international tax would be beneficial, but is not mandatory.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required due to the large amount of business partnering in the role.
