Group Financial Accountant - 18 month FTC
JSS are supporting a top corporate bank who are currently looking for a talented Group Accountant to join their team. This will be key role, supporting a broad range of responsibilities in an inclusive and flexible working environment.
The Role
In this central position, you will be a key contributor to the group finance function, ensuring the integrity of our financial data and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will range from core accounting tasks to impactful project work and ad hoc analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end journals, group consolidations, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Statements & Audit: Draft annual and half-year group financial statements and act as a primary point of contact for group auditors.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Prepare FINREP drafts and ensure all governance and regulatory standards are strictly met.
- Treasury & Administration: Manage day-to-day cash flow, funding administration, and share-based awards accounting.
- Process Improvement: Maintain and update financial controls and process documentation to ensure operational excellence.
- Qualification: ACA (or equivalent) qualification, or at least part-qualified status.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong experience in financial accounting, group consolidations, and reporting.
- Analytical Rigour: Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in managing complex spreadsheets.
- Communication: Proven ability to work collaboratively across different functional and geographic boundaries.
- IT Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
