A leading insurance group are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team during a period of regulatory change and business growth.
Location: London
Hybrid: 2-3 days a week in the office
Role OverviewYou will be responsible for delivering accurate financial and regulatory reporting under IFRS 17, UK GAAP, and Solvency II. Working closely with actuarial, risk, and underwriting teams, you will ensure the integrity of reporting outputs and support both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and regulatory submissions
- Support IFRS 17 reporting, including reconciliations and disclosures
- Collaborate with actuarial teams on technical provisions and liabilities
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting requirements (PRA / FCA)
- Enhance reporting processes, controls, and efficiency initiatives
- Provide clear analysis of financial performance and key movements
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or wider financial services
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Solvency II (IFRS 17 beneficial)
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems capability
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a regulated environment
