I'm currently supporting a well-established, multi-site manufacturing business with the appointment of an Employee Relations Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER professional to take ownership of employee relations activity across several UK sites, partnering closely with operational leaders and driving a consistent, commercially focused approach to people practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead complex ER casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and organisational change matters.
  • Partner with site leadership teams to provide pragmatic, commercially sound advice and mitigate people risk.
  • Support employee relations strategy across multiple manufacturing sites, identifying trends and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Coach and develop managers to build capability and confidence in handling people matters effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies and best practice while maintaining high standards of governance.
  • Support on organisational change initiatives, restructures and workforce planning activities.

Role profile:

  • Significant Employee Relations experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, logistics or other operational environments.
  • Strong UK employment law knowledge and experience managing complex, high-risk cases end-to-end.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across multi-site operations.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Experience working in unionised environments would be highly advantageous.
