JSS Tax are hiring for an EMEA Tax Accountant for a leading international leisure company. This is a permanent role based from their head office in South London (near Wimbledon) - but supporting hybrid working arrangements. The role comes with a salary of circa £60k-£75k plus 10% and a fantastic benefits package including travel discounts, healthcare, enhanced pension etc.
Working closely with the EMEA Head of Tax, the Tax Accountant will take on an international tax role for the EMEA region, covering work across both direct tax and indirect tax. The work is largely advisory focused, with the biggest element to the role being dealing with daily tax queries from the business, and acting as a tax business partner working closely with various business functions.
In addition to the advisory, this person will get involved in management of international tax compliance (largely sense-check and review of returns rather than preparation), regular tax project work, and ad-hoc areas such as tax support for M&A activity.
The company is looking for a qualified accountant or tax advisor (ACA / ACCA / CTA etc) with experience either in UK corporate tax or in UK VAT. The rest they are happy for you to pick up in the role. Although international experience and mixed tax experience are beneficial, they are not required.
The hiring team is happy to consider candidates coming straight from practice or those coming from similar in-house roles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone:
- Looking for their first in-house role
- With experience in either direct tax or indirect tax, wishing to broaden their experience
- Looking to gain more international experience
- Looking for an advisory-heavy tax role
- Looking to work in an exciting sector as part of a trendy company.
