The Debt Capital Markets team sits within the Treasury Division and manages a dynamic range of secured funding transactions, utilising collateral from several divisions across the Bank. The team are also responsible for maintaining the Bank’s unsecured wholesale funding programmes and utilising these programmes to strategically fund the Bank and Group.
The Debt Capital Markets Analyst will support a broad range of BAU activities undertaken by the team, with special focus on maintaining the Banks secured funding lines. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to learn about the funding activities of the Bank and to receive training in the management of its wholesale financing activities.
This role is based in London with hybrid working flexibility (2-3 days per week in the office).
Role Requirements
- Prepare and deliver the monthly secured funding reporting; gather, analyse, model and interpret data, communicating findings clearly.
- Prepare and support the delivery of BAU internal reporting, including senior leadership information packs, ALCo materials and regulatory reporting.
- Produce compliance reporting accurately and on time
- Support the implementation of a new secured funding system including undertaking user application testing where necessary
- Design, build and maintain databases and dashboards.
- Collate and present information for due diligence requirements and internal analysis.
- Identify, propose and support the implementation of process improvements.
- Keep abreast of market and regulatory developments; summarise and share regular updates.
- Manage departmental policies and procedures, complete annual reviews and keep documentation up to date.
- Manage departmental costs and invoicing.
- Support the delivery and implementation of Treasury and DCM strategic plans.
- Support ad hoc activities and deliverables across BAU and DCM projects.
Key Skills/Experience Required
- Degree level education, ideally in a numerical field
- At least one year’s experience in securitisation.
- Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
- VBA and financial modelling experience.
- Knowledge of SME and consumer lending markets.
