Role: Contract Data Architect

Location: UK (Hybrid – London or Birmingham preferred)

Contract: 6 Months Initial - Inside IR35

Must have insurance experience

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a major transformation programme focused on modernising underwriting and platform capabilities. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on conceptual and logical data modelling, ensuring a consistent data foundation across multiple workstreams and alignment with London Market data standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models
  • Ensure consistency across multiple delivery workstreams
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
  • Support data architecture governance and standards
  • Identify and address data quality, integration, and duplication risks
  • Align data models with future platform and PAS requirements
  • Support data governance and metadata management activities

Essential Experience

  • Proven Data Architect experience within complex transformation programmes
  • Strong hands-on data modelling expertise
  • Insurance sector experience, particularly underwriting and policy data
  • Knowledge of London Market data standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Technical Skills

  • Snowflake
  • ETL / ELT processes
  • Data integration and pipeline design
  • Power BI and reporting platforms

Hybrid role with an initial 6-month contract and strong extension potential.
