We are retained by a leading and rapidly expanding UK healthcare group to appoint a Director of Corporate Development — a high-impact, senior leadership hire sitting at the heart of their growth strategy. This is a rare opportunity to join a business with genuine ambition: a well-capitalised healthcare group executing an aggressive inorganic growth agenda across acquisitions, joint ventures with clinical practitioners, and greenfield site development.
The Role
You will own the full corporate development function — from building and managing a proprietary M&A pipeline, through to structuring and executing transactions, developing joint venture models, and overseeing greenfield opportunities. Sitting at the heart of the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the group's long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted thought partner at Board level. This is a deal-doer role with genuine strategic influence.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record in M&A, corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
- Full transaction lifecycle experience — origination through to close — including complex due diligence and multi-party negotiations
- Sector experience in healthcare, multi-site retail, or hospitality is essential — we are looking for candidates who understand the dynamics of operating at scale across multiple locations and diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience structuring and negotiating joint ventures or partnership arrangements
- Strong financial modelling capability with the ability to build and present compelling investment cases
- Degree educated; a professional qualification (ACA, CFA, MBA) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
