Senior Data Engineer – Insurance – London

A Senior Data Engineer is required by a global insurance company broadening their offering and aiming to build a best in class offering.

The Data Engineer must have extensive Azure experience as they will be building a Data LakeHouse whose primary purpose is integration and analytics. Strong Data Governance knowledge is also essential. You must have excellent Python and SQL, and very strong knowledge of Azure Data related services.

You must have designed and built Data Lakes from the ground up – not just maintained or worked on existing implementations.

The initial part of the project is an integration between two platforms.

Skills required:

• Azure
• DataBricks
• Snowflake
• Azure Data Lake
• Python
• At least one of: NumPy, Pandas, or PySpark
• SQL
• Financial Services experience
• At least one Data related Azure certification

Nice to have:

• PowerBI
• Azure Synapse
• C# or Java
• Data Factory
• Insurance experience

Please note: You must have extensive experience of working as a Data Engineer within a Financial Services environment. Ideally, Insurance experience is preferred.
