My Real Estate client is looking for a commercially sharp, hands‑on Finance Director who is ready to step beyond traditional finance and into full business leadership. This role is perfect for someone who has mastered the financial fundamentals and now wants to influence the whole commercial engine — revenue, costs, deals, people, performance, and long‑term value creation.
If you thrive in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments and are energised by ownership, accountability, and impact, this is an exceptional opportunity.
The Role
As Finance Director, you’ll lead the finance function end‑to‑end — from financial strategy and governance to budgeting, forecasting, and performance insight. But this role goes far beyond standard finance leadership.
You will:
- Set and execute the finance strategy aligned to business ambitions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and capital allocation
- Strengthen governance, controls, processes, and reporting standards
- Equip senior leaders and the Board with clear, actionable insight
- Support acquisitions, integration, commercial negotiations, and investment decisions
- Build and develop a high‑performing finance team
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and data quality
- Act as a key commercial partner to the CEO and leadership team
For the right individual, this is a natural pathway from Finance Director to Managing Director within a few years, with meaningful influence, visibility, and long‑term financial upside.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise
- Mastery of P&L, Balance Sheet, cashflow and performance diagnostics
- Strategic leadership: able to define the finance vision and operating model
- Confident ownership of budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and capital planning
- Strong stakeholder engagement — able to challenge, influence, and build trust
- Excellent commercial acumen across revenue levers, unit economics, pricing, and property‑related costs
- Advanced financial modelling skills (including valuation and M&A models)
- Experience with NetSuite preferred; strong advocate for automation and scalable processes
- Calm, structured operator who executes well under pressure
- Excellent communicator who turns data into insight, action, and compelling narrative
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and embed best‑practice controls
