Job Description JSS is currently recruiting an IT Category Manager position for a public sector organisation in the West Midlands area. This is a critical role, taking ownership of the key technology spend area within the business. The role: Lead the procurement process for IT related, highly complex, business critical and above threshold goods and services, within a publicly regulated environment, managing all risk, legislative and regulatory requirements Implements procurement procedures in keeping with the organisation’s Procurement strategy and Procurement Policy and processes Working to a governance framework and other procurement regulations as required. Supports development of appropriate IT procurement strategies that support value for money objectives e.g. supplier consolidation. Develops and maintains a plan of all IT procurement activity to meet business needs and advises on resource needs and options. Co-ordinates production of invitation to tender documents, instructions, evaluation scorecards and reports.
