Job Summary:
Our client, a Global Asset Management business, are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced contract Project Manager with Business Analyst capabilities and also a strong background in Asset Management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and delivering a broad range of programmes from regulatory to Front-Office, within the asset management industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management :
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery across multiple initiatives within the asset management domain.
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, compliance) to ensure project success.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to milestones, deadlines, and budgets.
- Act as a key point of contact for all project-related matters, ensuring stakeholder alignment and communication.
- Business Analysis :
- Gather, document, and analyse business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement within asset management operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define business needs and prioritize initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Develop use cases, user stories, and other documentation to guide technical development and implementation.
- Regulatory Programmes :
- Oversee and support the execution of regulatory compliance initiatives within asset management.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with evolving standards.
- Work closely with the regulatory and compliance teams to implement new regulatory changes into business processes and systems.
- Stakeholder Management :
- Liaise with senior stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, operations, compliance, legal, and IT teams, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Effectively communicate project goals, objectives, progress, and potential risks to key stakeholders.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to business activities.
- Reporting & Documentation :
- Prepare and present project status reports, risks, and issues to senior management.
- Create comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, business cases, project plans, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Track project performance and prepare post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst, within the asset management industry.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering projects with complex business requirements.
- Proven experience with business process analysis and identifying improvements in asset management operations.
- Skills :
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, etc.) and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence).
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting asset management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and technical teams.
