Job Description
JSS have partnered with an exciting organisation in the Construction/Infrastructure space to recruit a Procurement Manager position focusing on Materials and Subcontracts spend.
As well as focusing on cost, quality and supplier management, the role will involve supporting the development and implementation of the overall procurement strategy.
The role:
- Negotiating with high-value sub-contractors and suppliers
- Manage suppliers, track metrics, ensure compliance, and drive innovation within the supply chain.
- Develop strategies for the category in line with the overall supply chain strategy which includes identification, selection and management of strategic partners by using the category management principles.
- Work closely with the Procurement Lead to develop the function's strategy
Your profile:
- 5+ years procurement experience, ideally working in a bids/category management environment
- Sector background in Construction, Utilities or project environments
- Strong commercial, planning and negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills. Able to convey the benefits of a new strategy and instil confidence.
- Strong influencing skills
