My client, an international insurance business, is looking for a Credit Associate to join their high performing Credit & Political Risk team. This role will be based in the City of London but offer hybrid working flexibility (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of new business, providing analytical recommendations to underwriting colleagues in line with the team risk appetite.
- Establish and maintain annual credit assessments, limits and internal ratings for regularly reviewed obligors which typically do not have external credit ratings.
- Portfolio analysis, including maintenance and review of trigger event metrics for all exposure and aggregations, across geographies, industries, obligors, risk types and client groups.
- Complete specific project work as required.
- Support senior colleagues in data analysis to assess the performance of the account and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Attend client calls and meetings in relation to industry or geography updates where required.
- Design, deliver, develop and analyse reports, identify and recommend solutions to reporting issues in line with group/branch requirements.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years in credit analysis.
- Educated to University degree level.
- Working to achieve CFA qualification or willingness to complete in the role.
- Commercial awareness & attention to detail.
