JSS – Finance have been exclusively engaged to recruit for a leading FTSE 250 multisite brand based in Milton Keynes. A broad role that focuses on the group-wide responsibilities on external reporting, supporting the CFO and GFC and implementing sustainable processes/controls. You will be a key point of contact for technical questions arising from the various finance teams of the group and will support the delivery of ad-hoc technical advice and relevant training throughout the year. A strong knowledge of group and respective departmental strategies will be required through the fostering of a strong internal network and driving a business partnering environment.
The responsibilities:
- Review of Board level reporting and first draft of elements of Board pack
- Own the PLC head office accounts (London and MK), statutory accounts, audit and cost centre reporting
- Group reporting with consolidation of country numbers
- Ownership of the preparation of the annual and interim IFRS consolidated financial statements for the Group
- Ensuring high-quality data and robust controls
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of PLC statutory financial statements for year-end reporting
- Ensure all Group and PLC financial statements are fully compliant with applicable IFRS, UK Companies Act and regulatory disclosure requirements
- Preparing, analysing and reporting monthly financial information. Investigation of variances against budget and forecast
- Driving month end close and reporting process efficiency
- Managing and developing financial systems and accounting policies and the internal control environment
- Preparing audit deliverables- internal and external
- Risk review reporting in Exec Team pack
The Person:
If you are a qualified Accountant (4 years+ PQE or equivalent) with a solid technical grounding and want to continually add value then this could be the role for you. This will not be an ordinary “Group” role and you will be working closely with the business in a highly visible capacity. Your ability to work well with functional heads/ team leads in a collaborative & proactive manner will be key to the success of the role.
