I am currently recruiting for a broad Financial Controller position to join a highly profitable, growing manufacturer based in Luton, Bedfordshire. In this role you will report directly to the Finance Director to ensure the business is adhering to strong financial controls and towards the achievement of business objectives. As part of this role you will also manage a small team.

You will:

  • Own all aspects of financial reporting including month end, flash management accounts and monthly management accounts with variance analysis
  • Develop and maintain controls and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management
  • Prepare the cashflow forecast with variance analysis
  • Ensure all statutory deadlines are met (under FRS) including managing the year end audit process
  • Work alongside non-finance teams, providing robust business partnering
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly board pack
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly forecast
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget pack
  • Have day to day management of the transactional team
  • Be involved in ad-hoc project work

You have:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or overseas equivalent)
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Post-qualified experience within a Finance Manager / Controller or SME Finance Director role within an accounting or financial management role
  • Strong communication skills (with both finance & non-finance)
  • Strong Excel Skills

This role is based in Luton 2-3 days per week.
