JSS Finance are exclusively supporting a leading hospitality business who are looking for an Interim Senior Statutory Technical Accountant to join their team on an initial 12-month FTC.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute the full cycle of statutory audits, from initial planning through to completion and sign-off in accordance with FRS 102.
- Oversee or prepare annual and consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation for review by the audit committee and external auditors.
- Stay updated on new and changing laws/regulations and assess their impact on the business.
- Training finance teams and sharing best practices, identifying and implementing improvements around systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
- Provide answers and technical memos to queries from external auditors in connection with the Project work.
- Liaise with tax and other specialist teams to ensure the statutory accounts provide information required for other dependencies of these financials.
- Assist in special one-off projects as needed.
Key Skills/Experience
- Must be a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Advanced excel skills.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge in UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills and capacity to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Experience in technical accounting papers and financial reporting.
