JSS are recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant position who will be a key member of the team supporting on the following; Monthly management reporting, balance sheet reporting and preparing the annual financial statements under IFRS. This role will report to the Accounting & Reporting Finance Manager The Role: The Financial Reporting Accountant role based in Watford, Hertfordshire will be responsible for the following: Manage the routine month end process, ensuring all accounting adjustments are made, and costs are appropriately captured and reported on a monthly basis in accordance with IFRS Support on implementing SOX across Financial Reporting and Accounting Preparation of the annual Financial Statements under IFRS Prepare the monthly payroll journals and reconciliations Review of the monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy of month end numbers and to ensure cost accruals are well supported and verified Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are reconciled and all balances substantiated Review and maintain accounting policies to ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements Key responsibilities in the quarterly and annual audit cycles in terms of key deliverables to the external auditors and working as the liaison between wider finance and the audit team Profile: We are looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified candidate with the following experience and skillset: Minimum 2 years statutory reporting and control-based experience At least 2 years PQE, ideally from a similar financial reporting roles Experience of operating in a month/period end cycle Experience of process improvements and driving efficiencies On Offer: This Financial Reporting Accountant role offers a salary of circa £75,000, benefits and hybrid working.
