Head of Tax

JSS Search is hiring for a Head of Tax for a leading blue-chip retail company based in Bedfordshire.

This is an 18-month contract paying circa £110,000-£125,000 plus benefits, including a 20%-30% bonus.

The role offers a largely remote working arrangement, with as little as 2 days per month in the office.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Oversee and manage tax compliance processes.
  2. Support quarterly finance work from a tax perspective.
  3. Implement the group\’s tax planning and strategy initiatives.
  4. Participate in the senior finance leadership team and provide commercial input.
  5. Partner with stakeholders and respond to tax queries across the business.
  6. Develop and support the in-house tax team.
  7. Undertake tax and finance project work regularly.
