Are you an experienced and dynamic FP&A professional looking for a new challenge? JSS Search are proud to partner a growing, Private Equity backed multisite retail business based in Edinburgh, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
About the Role:
As FP&A Lead, you will partner closely with senior leadership to shape financial strategy and ensure robust financial performance across the business. You will lead the development and implementation of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, providing key insights that will guide the business through its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse the business’s UK wide estate, looking into granular detail around each site's profitability, EBITDA and summarise investment cases for expansion/areas to consolidate.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions and performance improvements.
- Work closely with the CFO, with good exposure to board level conversations.
- Lead the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking.
- Drive financial performance reviews and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Support in preparing financial presentations for the board and investors.
- Collaborate with operational teams to optimize cost structures and enhance profitability.
About You:
- ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant with 4 years+ post qualified experience.
- You bring a wealth of experience in FP&A, ideally from a retail or multisite environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling and reporting tools.
- A self-starter with the drive to make an impact in a growing SME.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary of £80,000-£85,000, plus a company car and bonus structure (15%+).
