Financial Analyst

My client is an award winning Fintech who are looking to add a Financial Analyst to the team!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts to aid in financial operations and effective resource management.
• Analysing financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Responsible for the preparation of management accounts and other reports.
• Recording of financial transactions ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
• Recording and reconciliation of merchant settlement payments, safeguarding cash movements and merchant fund management
• Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
• Reconciliation of financial records to underlying datasets and cash to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting and reporting.
• Executing tasks as part of accounting month end close process and support with other accountancy tasks as required.
• Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to non – finance members of staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in management or Financial Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Part qualified, or in further study toward a Management or Financial Accounting qualification.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs).
• A solid foundation of basic accountancy skills including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.
• Analytical mindset
• Multicurrency accounting knowledge an advantage.
• Knowledge of client cash safeguarding an advantage
