My client are a top tier Bank and we are looking for a Compliance & Risk Assurance Specialist to join the team and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of their governance frameworks. In this role, you won’t just be "checking boxes"—you will be a collaborative partner to the business, identifying root causes, sharing best practices, and ensuring they meet the highest regulatory standards.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Drive Excellence: Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls.
- Strategic Reporting: Draft high-quality reports that provide clear insights into risk impacts and actionable recommendations.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organization to validate findings and agree on solutions.
- Regulatory Stewardship: Ensure full adherence to FCA and PRA standards (and CBI where applicable), fostering a culture of accountability.
Person Requirements
- Background: Proven experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Financial Services Assurance.
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment (FCA/PRA rulebooks).
- Analytical Rigour: The ability to dissect complex processes and evaluate control effectiveness.
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills for reporting and the interpersonal "soft skills" needed to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Precision: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
- Experience with customer remediation projects.
- Familiarity with AI tools for risk management and data analysis.
- Professional qualifications such as ICA, Risk Management, or Law.
