I am working with an award winning, global broker where they are looking for a Client Money (CASS 5) Specialist to support the Client Money Manager on UK wide policy and regulatory financial information for the UK business to ensure accuracy and reduce reputational and financial risk. The broker is open to exploring profiles from IBA or wider CASS backgrounds for aspiring individuals that can demonstrate the ability to transfer into a CASS 5 position.
Responsibilities
- Support weekly Client Money Calculations for UK-controlled entities.
- Help monitor and log any breaches of CASS regulations.
- Track client money balances and investigate unusual changes.
- Assist with staff training on CASS requirements.
- Support CASS audits by gathering information and preparing responses.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in client money processes and controls.
- Work with teams like IBA, Treasury, and Compliance to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Help with system checks and inputs related to CMC.
- Stay updated on changes to CASS rules and FCA guidance.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Client Money Manager as needed.
Personal Profile
- Prior experience in managing client money or IBA Accounting within an insurance broking environment.
- If not prior CASS 5 experience, ideally from an IBA, or CASS 6/7 background with excellent excel skills.
- Proficient in manual processing, calculations from client money in an FCA regulated environment, and dealing with auditors.
- Work cross-functionally across the UK business including IBA, finance, treasury and compliance and be a SME for these departments when regarding CASS 5.
