We are seeking a solicitor to join a busy employment team led by a leading employment partner. This role requires a strong background in employment law, with a particular focus on contentious matters, particularly involving discrimination and equality issues. Experience of advocacy is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Advising a diverse client base, including senior executives and commercial clients across sectors such as transport, marketing, and technology.
  • Managing contentious matters, including drafting and responding to tribunal claims, drafting witness statements and managing disclosure.
  • Advising and liaising directly with clients.
  • Attending client meetings and contributing to business development events.
  • Providing support to colleagues, working independently and remotely, while meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8PQE and experience gained at a reputable regional or London firm.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of managing contentious matters.
  • Ability to “hit the ground running.”
  • Strong team player.
