Location: Northamptonshire, with flexibility for occasional travel to other locations as required.
Role Overview: You will lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class FP&A function, overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. The role will involve working closely with senior leadership to identify key financial opportunities, ensuring robust financial performance and contributing to key business decisions. As a strategic business partner, you will provide critical financial insights to key stakeholders and support the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Own and manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes across the business, ensuring data accuracy and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the 3-year financial planning process, working with senior leadership to develop key deliverables for investors and the board.
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO, providing consolidated financial insights and strategic guidance on business performance.
- Capital Investment & Cost Management: Oversee capital expenditure planning and reporting, ensuring smooth asset handover. Lead cost management initiatives and work on improving financial reporting processes.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Lead finance system and process improvements, driving efficiencies and supporting the execution of transformation initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across the business, ensuring alignment of financial objectives and clear communication with operational leaders and finance business partners.
Key Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with significant PQE and leadership exposure.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience leading financial planning and reporting cycles in fast-paced, multisite business environments.
- Strong understanding of multisite operations and businesses, ideally from a retail/FMCG or manufacturing background.
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems and tools, with strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Excel.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions to drive consensus and improve business performance.
- Demonstrated ability to provide actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations that support growth and business objectives.
- Proven experience in leading and driving finance transformation projects and process improvements within an international retail business.
