This is an exciting new role at a leading insurance firm. This individual will provide analytical support for the Political and Credit Risk team.

Role responsibilities

  • Ongoing live portfolio analysis, including maintenance and review of trigger event metrics for all exposure and aggregations, across geographies, industries, obligors, risk types and client groups.
  • Establish and maintain annual credit assessments, limits and internal ratings for regularly reviewed obligors which typically do not have external credit ratings
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reporting to support the team
  • Complete project work as required to support portfolio analysis, account development, credit policy and credit appetite
  • Provide robust review of and recommendation on individual new enquiries and obligors
  • Document analysis and recommendation on individual credit reviews and complete the associated tools for data capture
  • Monitor, Analyse and generate Management Information for the existing and growing account portfolio
  • Support senior colleagues in data analysis to assess the performance of the account and contribute to strategic discussions
  • Attend enquiry/risk meetings with brokers and insured clients, and industry relevant events
  • End to end project management for functional projects and contribute to any Branch wide projects

Required skills & experience:

  • Previous experience within Credit Analysis within either banking or insurance
  • CFA qualification is desirable
  • Strong analytical and data presentation skills
  • Commercial awareness
