This is an exciting new role at a leading insurance firm. This individual will provide analytical support for the Political and Credit Risk team.
Role responsibilities
- Ongoing live portfolio analysis, including maintenance and review of trigger event metrics for all exposure and aggregations, across geographies, industries, obligors, risk types and client groups.
- Establish and maintain annual credit assessments, limits and internal ratings for regularly reviewed obligors which typically do not have external credit ratings
- Generate regular and ad hoc reporting to support the team
- Complete project work as required to support portfolio analysis, account development, credit policy and credit appetite
- Provide robust review of and recommendation on individual new enquiries and obligors
- Document analysis and recommendation on individual credit reviews and complete the associated tools for data capture
- Monitor, Analyse and generate Management Information for the existing and growing account portfolio
- Support senior colleagues in data analysis to assess the performance of the account and contribute to strategic discussions
- Attend enquiry/risk meetings with brokers and insured clients, and industry relevant events
- End to end project management for functional projects and contribute to any Branch wide projects
Required skills & experience:
- Previous experience within Credit Analysis within either banking or insurance
- CFA qualification is desirable
- Strong analytical and data presentation skills
- Commercial awareness
