JSS Tax are hiring for a Group Tax Manager for a leading engineering company based in South Buckinghamshire. This newly created permanent role reports to the CFO and will take ownership of the tax affairs globally for a fast-growing business. As the first in-house tax position, the role will be varied and include tax strategy, tax planning, significant advisory and business partnering work, tax risk management, establishing strong tax processes and managing outsourcing tax compliance. There will also be a large amount of project work related to the projects the group wins each year.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tax strategies to support business objectives.
- Provide tax planning and advisory across various jurisdictions.
- Manage tax risk and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Establish and maintain robust tax processes.
- Oversee outsourcing of tax compliance activities.
- Collaborate with project teams on tax implications of new projects.
Qualifications
- International direct tax experience (indirect tax experience is a plus).
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a fast-growing engineering or civil engineering environment.
- Ability to build and lead tax functions from the ground up.
Salary & Benefits
Salary of circa £80k–£100k plus bonus/benefits package.
