Our client is a fast-growing UK business with an active acquisition strategy, seeking an experienced interim finance professional to take ownership of the post-acquisition integration and financial oversight of recently acquired entities. This is a high impact interim assignment where you will lead the financial integration and ongoing management of 6–7 acquired businesses, ensuring robust financial control while transitioning entities either into the core group structure or into a well managed dormant state. The role requires a hands on, technically strong finance professional who can quickly assess complex situations, bring structure to multiple legal entities, and confidently manage the audit and financial governance processes end to end.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end financial integration of recently acquired entities, ensuring they are either fully integrated into the group structure or transitioned into dormant status where appropriate.
- Take full responsibility for the finance and accounting operations across c.6–7 acquired companies, acting as the central finance owner for these entities.
- Manage entity-level accounting, financial control, and statutory reporting.
- Coordinate and deliver audits and tax compliance across multiple entities.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records including cash management, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet oversight.
- Identify and resolve historic accounting issues or incomplete work from prior integration efforts.
- Ensure acquired businesses remain financially controlled and operationally compliant during the integration or wind-down process.
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
- Proven experience in post-merger integration or acquisition environments.
- Strong technically across accounting, audit, and tax processes.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of projects.
- Experience with Sage 50, Xero, or QuickBooks beneficial.
£450-550 per day outside IR35, 6 month contract. Remote working with occasional travel to Gloucestershire (2 days per month).
