An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced finance team based in Watford. This role offers exposure across a broad range of finance activities and would suit someone studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA who is looking to further develop their accounting career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly cash flow reporting and payment runs
- Monitor and manage the finance inbox
- Post sales invoices, purchase invoices and credit notes onto Sage
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes
- Ensure invoices and supporting documentation are authorised in line with company procedures
- Check bank statements and maintain cashbooks across multiple currencies, including e-commerce sales
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete VAT reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain monthly Excel reports and schedules
- Support monthly cash flow forecasting
- Assist with annual budgeting activities
- Provide support to the Financial Controller
- Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
About You
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
- Minimum 2 years' finance experience within industry
