As a Pre-Construction Apprentice (studying Civil Engineering Technician) you\'ll give technical support to our engineers and construction professionals – preparing drawings, data and documentation that shape a project.

- What You\'ll Do
- Help prepare, produce and modify engineering drawings, models, documents and specifications to the relevant codes and standards.
- Collect and interpret technical data, carry out basic calculations and analyse the results to support designs.
- Use CAD and BIM software to create and present designs and visualisations.
- Support health, safety and welfare compliance (including CDM), helping to identify hazards and manage risk in your work.
- Apply relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice (such as CDM, DMRB and CSM) and communicate them correctly.
- Support sustainability and net-zero goals on the projects you work on.
- Use quality and document-control systems to help plan, monitor and deliver work to specification, budget and programme.
- Help pull together pre-construction and tender information, take-offs and survey data with the team.
- Get out on site – join site visits and surveys with the team to see how your drawings and plans are built, gather site data and measurements, and understand construction methods, constraints and health and safety in practice.
- Communicate and liaise with the project team, clients and stakeholders, including clear written notes.
- Complete your apprenticeship coursework and take responsibility for your own development.
