Lead the workshop your way and take charge of modern diagnostics and repairs. With full control over processes, you’ll shape how the workshop runs and pass on your expertise to others. There’s a clear path to higher earnings and more responsibility as you take charge of a growing team. You’ll work with the latest vehicle tech, including hybrids and electrics, using advanced diagnostic tools - not outdated kit.

What you’ll do:

  • Combine hands-on technical work with team leadership.
  • Diagnosing and fixing complex faults across all vehicle types, including hybrid and electric.
  • Guide and mentor other technicians, sharing your knowledge and helping them improve.
  • Organising workloads and making sure jobs get done on time.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to explain technical issues to customers and build trust in the services provided.

What you’ll need:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Level 4 or Master Technician status would be a bonus).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and experience using platforms like Autel or Bosch KTS.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a senior or lead technician, with some leadership experience in an automotive workshop.
