JSD Rail have been involved with the National Rail borne Weed Spray planning program and Seasonal treatment fleets for over 20 years. We are looking for highly motivated enthusiastic people to fulfil the role of maintainer. You will need to be self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as with other members of the team. The role is a key part within the business, and you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is maintained to the highest standards. Attention to detail is paramount. The role involves a level of travel and working away from home. A knowledge of the Railway would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out routine maintenance as described on block cards, to report faults.
- To carry out running repairs.
- To refuel and replenish plant or machinery.
- To keep vehicle or plant in clean condition.
- To control plant so as to ensure that it is performing the task when and where required.
- To complete required paperwork.
- To carry out all duties with consideration for the safety of themselves, co-workers, and members of the public.
- To exhibit integrity and professionalism in all actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to produce accurate reports.
- A good level of IT skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of rail mounted plant.
- Hold PTS (or expected to be able to obtain).
- PA1, PA02ST (desirable but not essential).
- BASIS NSK Storekeeper (desirable but not essential).
