The Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mapping Regional Manager to optimize mapping services and geospatial solutions for logistics and transportation operations. This role will focus on enhancing route efficiency, improving last-mile delivery, and ensuring accurate mapping data across a regional network. The ideal candidate will work closely with fleet managers, supply chain teams, and technology partners to integrate mapping solutions that drive operational excellence and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route Optimization & Navigation Enhancement
- Develop and implement mapping strategies to improve route planning, reduce delivery times, and enhance fuel efficiency.
- Leverage Maps APIs to integrate real-time traffic data, road conditions, and weather updates.
- Optimize last-mile delivery by ensuring accurate geolocation of delivery points and drop-off locations.
- Oversee the integration of Maps APIs and fleet tracking platforms.
- Collaborate with software developers to enhance route automation and predictive analytics for delivery operations.
- Ensure seamless integration of mapping solutions with GPS, telematics, and IoT-based tracking systems.
- Geospatial Data Management & Accuracy
- Ensure all warehouses, hubs, and delivery points are accurately mapped and updated across platforms.
- Use GIS tools and mapping analytics to assess and optimize transportation routes.
- Work with local authorities and map service providers to correct road data discrepancies and improve navigation accuracy.
- Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics
- Track key metrics such as delivery time efficiency, fuel usage, driver performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze geospatial data to identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven improvements.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on mapping impact and operational performance.
- Compliance & Stakeholder Coordination
- Ensure adherence to Maps policies and regulations.
- Work with logistics partners, vendors, and regional teams to standardize mapping practices across the supply chain.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with logistics, supply chain, and IT teams to enhance navigation and tracking capabilities.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to address map-related delivery issues and improve the overall experience.
Ideal Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, GIS, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in logistics and mapping technology management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of different Maps Platforms and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with fleet tracking software, telematics systems, and GPS navigation.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to use geospatial analytics to optimize logistics operations.
- Project Management: Experience in managing cross-functional projects across multiple locations.
- Communication & Leadership: Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including tech teams, fleet managers, and external partners.
