Job Title: Head of Corporate and Commercial

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £55,000 – £80,000

Our client, a highly respected and Legal 500-recognised law firm based in the Greater Manchester area, is seeking a Partner / Head of Corporate and Commercial to lead their growing department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior lawyer with a proven track record in corporate and commercial law to take on a strategic leadership role within a forward-thinking and dynamic firm.

With a strong national and international client base, this firm is known for its high-quality legal work and exceptional client service. The Corporate and Commercial team advises on a broad spectrum of matters and is central to the firm's continued success and growth.

The Role:

As Head of Department, you will play a key leadership role, taking responsibility for the continued development and management of the Corporate and Commercial practice.

This will include:

• Being a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Leading and advising on complex corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, company restructuring, and shareholder agreements
• Providing strategic legal and commercial advice to a diverse portfolio of clients
• Managing and mentoring junior team members
• Driving business development and contributing to the firm’s wider strategic goals
• Enhancing the firm’s profile through strong leadership and client engagement

The successful candidate will:

• Be an experienced Corporate / Commercial Solicitor with at least 8+ years' PQE
• Demonstrate a solid track record in managing complex transactions and client relationships
• Have strong leadership qualities and a proactive, collaborative approach
• Have a track record of mentoring and developing a successful team
• Ideally bring a following or a demonstrable ability to generate new business
